Friday My Town Shoot Out

We have just had the most beautiful weekend here in the "Winterless North." After a very long and stressful week, we headed off to one of our many BEAUTIFUL beaches.

So on Saturday night, I popped out to one of our supermarkets and bought some ingredients and headed home - inspired by our photo shoot theme this week - and decided to make some food for a picnic on the beach.

So here's a pic of my little interpretation of "outdoor food."

It was a gorgeous day, and I have entered this week feeling on top of the world!

I then just have to add this AWESOME picture (well, at least I think it's awesome :) ) that I managed to catch - being in the right place at the right time!

July 24 Assignment - REFLECTIONS

I have had an extremely busy week and haven't been able to focus on the topic, however after joining blogging and "Friday My Town Shoot Out" I decided to head out to my favourite spot - just 15 minutes from where I live.

This is Matapouri Bay on the Tutukaka Coast ...

I can't wait for summer and daylight savings ...

Natural Beauty

Yesterday I was "re-inspired" to get out there and persue my passion again...PHOTOGRAPHY! (with thanks to Pauline).
This morning I woke up early and got my fiance and a friend to hop in the car...and said "we're heading North."
I found beauty in some very "arb" things and captured the natural beauty of this new place I call home!
I will post photos of my day out tomorrow, but am just so excited to have this "fire for photography" again!
